Your Cabin, Lounge and Airport Experience

Cabin Experience

Singapore Airlines Business Class Boeing 777-300ER

You will be travelling aboard a Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300 ER in Business class. This aircraft features 48 Business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration in a smaller front cabin and larger back cabin. If possible, for a quiet experience it would be recommended to book in the forward cabin which are rows 11,12 and 13. Couples would be best seated in the middle seats D & F and for solo travellers, window seats A & K.

On board the aircraft, you'll discover amenities such as socks, eye masks, noise-cancelling headphones, and slippers conveniently placed at your seat. Furthermore, when it's time to rest, you'll be provided with a mattress topper, blanket, and pillow. With complimentary onboard Wi-Fi, it makes staying connected with friends and family or browsing the web very convenient. Expect high-quality catered meals served on elegant porcelain plates and bowls during your flight. Complement your dining experience with a diverse selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits. To check if Singapore's Book the Cook service is available on your flight, please follow this link.

Qatar Airways Business Class Boeing 777-300ER (QSUITE-Longer Flights)

Your experience includes flying on Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777-300ER. This aircraft is fitted with Q-Suites, widely regarded (and voted) as the world’s best Business Class.

The Q-Suite seating pattern is in a unique 1-2-1 pattern with the centre pairs alternatively forward and rear facing. For couples, we would recommend Rows with seats E & F, which transform into Qsuite’s famous double bed. For solo travellers, we would recommend seats A & K (rear-facing) and B & J (forward-facing) which are all window seats. Each suite has a sliding door which adds an extra degree of privacy to the Q-Suite experience.

On these longer flights, there are multiple meal services but dining is on-demand so you can choose to hold your meal until a time that you prefer – the traditional Arabic mezze is highly recommended. For beverages you can expect a range of great wines, starting with Champagne prior to take-off for a proper celebration of the trip ahead.

For a full review of the Q-Suite product please see this review by Point Hacks.

Qatar Airways Business Class - Inflight Experience

On board Qatar Airways, you can expect designer amenity kits made by French perfumer Diptyque, as well as a set of branded Qatar pyjamas on long overnight flights. In terms of the onboard dining experience, Qatar offers the ability for you to pre-order your meal in advance, while you can also experience their superb signature service.

Lounge Experience

Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Class Doha

In Doha, you will pass through security – look for the express lanes for Business Class passengers – before heading to the Al-Mourjan Business Lounge, which is huge but will still be busy during your mid-night visit. There are showers near the water feature close to the entrance and more in the far corner, beyond the café/sandwich buffet, adjacent to the sleep pods. It’s often easier to grab a vacant shower room at the latter location as it’s more secluded (i.e. less obvious.)

If the location is convenient to your departure gate, we suggest trying the new Al Mourjan Business Lounge The Garden. The name reflects the ambience and this newer lounge tends to be less hectic and, hence, can be easier to grab a vacant shower and/or spend your layover relaxing or working.

Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Changi (T3)

You will have access to Singapore’s flagship SilverKris business lounge in terminal 3. The lounge is located near passport control, up the escalators to level 3. This lounge offers a luxurious environment with comfortable seating options and private workspaces, the lounge is ideal for productivity and relaxation. You can enjoy complimentary gourmet meals and beverages, along with amenities like shower facilities and entertainment options.

Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Lounge Melbourne

You will have access to the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Business Lounge in Melbourne. Although it contains all the necessary amenities including showers and a buffet food selection, the ambience can feel dim and cramped.

Qatar Airways Premium Lounge Paris

The Qatar Airways Premium Lounge in Paris is located on the 11th floor of Terminal 1. Once you enter, you’ll immediately notice the open and inviting glass-paned windows which let in an abundance of natural light for a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The lounge features modern furnishings, private shower facilities, a la carte dining, and two rooftop terraces with extensive panoramic views of Paris.
